  • SHIELA AND WANDA OF THE EMOTIONS
    (BADD MAMA JAMAS!)

    On the Soul-Patrol, I have been known to talk every once and a while about some of my own experiences as a teenager :)
    One of the most vivid experiences that I had back in them "olden days" was GRINDING to the music of the Emotions.

    'Show Me How' and 'So I Can Love You' are two of my VERY favorite songs of ALL TIME.
    They are two of the most EROTIC songs you will EVER hear

    On Wednesday evening I had the privilege of being sandwiched in between TWO of the Emotions (Wanda and Shiela) for 45 min, as I interviewed them!
    One of em even whispered to me in my ear...

    'stay right here baaaaabay, I'M NOT READY TO LET YOU GO...'
    (I even have it on tape......lol)

    EAT YOUR HEART OUT FELLAS

    However, don't worry
    Nothing 'x-rated' went on
    The Emotions are some VERY serious Christian ladies
    The soaring eroticism of their songs, doesn't have a damn thing to do with them as people

    They are very gracious, polite and straight up ladies
    In fact....
    After i was thru with them I wanted to kick myself for thinking about all of the things that I had envisioned myself doing with them all of these years
    LOL

    (back to reality)

    During our 45 min. interview the Emotions discussed...

    * Their Christian Faith
    * Recording at the STAX record company
    * Their father
    * Working with Isaac Hayes and David Porter
    * Working with Earth Wind and Fire
    * The demise of the STAX record company
    * Working with Maurice White
    * Their plans for the future (a new CD & tour)
    * The Internet
    * Chicago Soul Artists
    * The lack of COM-PASSION in today's music
    * and more

    know what the best part was about meeting and interviewing the Emotions?
    they were REALLY, REALLY nice people!!!!!!!!!

    & I truly enjoyed them...
