This week in the newsletter we are saddened to report the passing of Jazz legend Ramsey Lewis at age 94. We have some new and surprising analysis on the sound of Dee Dee Sharp just in time for her birthday. As promised we have a brand new review of the Motown Tribute Artist “That Motown Band” (Featuring Brian Owens, Carla Cooke, Garfield Fleming and sisters Nathina Inez and Natasha McDuffie.) Also an Announcement of a Curtis Mayfield Tribute show by the (BRC) Black Rock Coalition Orchestra.
