Talkin Soul:Chat Session and Online Listening Party!
Thursday February 21 at 10 pm est
Remember Block Parties, Double Dutch, 50 cent movies, Hi-Karate, ‘Duce and a Quarters’, Basement Parties, Stickball, Hanging Out On Street Corners, ‘Nik Nik Shirts, Cheap Wine, Big Afros, Wide Collars? These things and more were prominent features of the big city neighborhoods that we grew up in.
Even if you are too young to remember these things or if they were not a part of YOUR neighborhood scene, then you should come anyway to learn a little bit more about the way life was ‘back in the day’!
We will be discussing all of this in the Soul-Patrol chat room using the wonderful FUNK FILLED Radio program created by Mike ‘Chancellor of Soul’ Boone and Baron Keels entitled: ‘Block Party: Parts 1 and 2’ as a backdrop to the proceedings. Just click on the links below to listen to the music!
Join us on Thursday February 21 at 10 pm est as we discuss all of these things and more, in the Soul-Patrol Chat room in a special Black History Month Chat as we look back on our past, as we consider our future.
