Elsewhere in this week’s Soul-Patrol Newsletter: If ever there was an individual who could serve as an icon for Black History Month, it would be Cicely Tyson (RIP.) A new release from the Chi-Lites & Friends covering the classic “Love on a Two Way Street” (with a nice surprise!) How about two of the geniuses of Philadelphia Soul; Thom Bell & Linda Creed! Finally, I wanted to bring back the review we did of the book: Our Uncle Sam: The Sam Cooke Story From His Family’s Perspective, by our friend Erik Greene.  This book is a must read and it will clear up any confusion you might have about Sam Cooke.

And of course, I still wanna be like John Lee Hooker when I grow up....
